Hotel #1, in Touristy Area

The Waterfront Hotel is a great choice if you'd like to be in an area with lots to do. This hotel is in Oakland's Jack London Square, near restaurants and shopping, on the waterfront with lots of boats going by, and a ferry port to San Francisco. There are a few disadvantages to this hotel: prices will go up as we get closer to April, there is no breakfast included, and parking is $30/day with few options other than the hotel parking. Hotel #2: in Quiet Area

This is actually two hotels, connected to each other: the Executive Inn Embarcadero Cove / Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel. If you don't need/want to be in a happening area, and you'd like free parking and a free nice breakfast buffet, this is the better option for you. The back of the hotel has a quiet shoreline with a walking path, and it is not a far drive to the wedding venue. The Best Western has great bathrooms, with a shower and a soaking tub! The disadvantages to this hotel include no walking-distance amenities, and "city view" rooms that look out to the unscenic highway (though are not noisy). Airports: OAK or SFO

OAK is the closest airport to the festivities, though SFO often has cheaper direct flights from the east coast.
