Our Love Story: The Beginning

Our story starts with a Skype interview for a position with the San Antonio Spurs, where Jeremy was on the interview panel. Sarah always jokes that she caught Jeremy’s eye during that call. Two weeks later, Sarah moved from Atlanta to San Antonio, beginning her new adventure.

Getting to Know Each Other

Once we started working together, it didn’t take long for us to connect. We got to know each other during work lunch breaks and work events. Eventually Sarah made the first move, inviting Jeremy over to meet her pup, Lucy. We tried to keep things quiet, but our coworkers couldn’t help but notice the chemistry. Jeremy was drawn to Sarah’s humor and spontaneity, and Sarah loved how everyone raved about Jeremy’s heart and kindness. But it wasn’t the right time, so Sarah left the Spurs to explore new opportunities.

Reunited

Although we’d parted ways, we stayed in touch. One day, Jeremy invited Sarah to the movies, and from that point on we knew the timing felt right. Not long after, Jeremy took Sarah to a memorable steak dinner, and that night, he officially asked her to be his girlfriend.

Exploring Together

We moved in together in the summer of '21 and knew we wanted to explore and travel. We’ve enjoyed some great trips—Dallas to watch the Falcons play the Cowboys with Jeremy's dad and stepmom, concerts in Austin, trips to Atlanta multiple times, with his mom Elida, and cousin Lizzy. We witnessed an unforgettable A&M game against Alabama, where Sarah’s “good luck” helped the Aggies pull off the win (Gig’em!). Jeremy got to experience his first UGA game in Athens too, cheering on Sarah’s Dawgs (Sic ‘em!). We've also visited Jeremy’s grandfather John in Colorado, and saw the other John (LEGEND!), and spent time in Venice, Florida, where we hunted for shark’s teeth with Sarah’s mom, Nina. From visiting Sarah’s family and friends in Atlanta to joining Jeremy’s in Lake Tahoe, each trip has left us with great memories. Our trip to New York was especially memorable, including a day in the ER after Jeremy had a serious allergic reaction. Although it was a terrifying day, experiencing this together brought us even closer.

The Proposal

On our four-year anniversary, Jeremy proposed in Austin. We started the day with breakfast at Waffle House (duh!), hiked at Barton Creek Greenbelt, and found ourselves at Campbell's Hole, where Jeremy surprised Sarah by getting down on one knee. The moment couldn’t have been more perfect. We spent the night in Wimberley, Texas, exploring shops and had brunch overlooking the creek the next morning.

Looking Ahead

With our wedding set for February 8, 2025, we’re excited to begin this new chapter together. We recently bought our first house and can’t wait to make it a home filled with love and laughter. As we look forward to growing our family and creating new adventures, we’re incredibly grateful for the support of our friends and family through each chapter of our love story. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you all and for the memories yet to come!
