We're no strangers to love. She hadn't been on the dating apps for quite as long as I had, but she knew the rules, and so did I. She was drawn to a picture of me eating a bowl of spaghetti in the shower, and I was drawn to her outdoorsiness and good vibes. As we began talking, we began discussing what we wanted out of a relationship. A full commitment is what we were both thinkin' of. She wanted someone that could take her snowboarding, and would go kayaking, or go to a concert, or camping in any weather. I told her she wouldn't get this from any other guy. Towards the end of the year, I knew how I felt. I was in love. On a romantic walk to look at some early-season Christmas lights, I decided to tell her. I didn't want there to be pressure if she wasn't ready to reciprocate that big four letter word. "I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling, I gotta make you understand" I said. We had known each other for so long, and I knew her heart was aching - She was just too shy to say it! Even though she was too shy, we both knew the game, and that we were going to play it. After a few more weeks, on New Year's Eve, she finally said it: "I love you" I responded "I'm never gonna give you up"
