Jeffrey and I met on a Sunday night. I was working behind the bar at Detour and Jeffrey came in with his friend Jess. They were going sailing but the wind was too high, so they decided to pop in for a beer while they waited for better weather. I asked if they needed menus and they both said no. Later I turned around to find Jeffrey leaning over the bar trying to snatch one. I said, "I can't believe you lied to me!" and he responded, "Oh, I'd never lie to you" and I knew he was a keeper. The winds died down, they left and I went on with my night. Jeffrey came back later, this time alone. He sat at the bar and said he was hungry, he ordered a bacon cheddar burger, medium, with a side of fries. We talked as much as we could, while I still tried to work. Closing time came and went and Jeffrey was still at the bar, folding and unfolding his straw wrapper. Eventually, he told me he thought I was really attractive and wanted to go out sometime. I said, "finally!" I gave him my name and number. We moved in together a year later. We bought a house in March of 2020 and were engaged in October after being together for 6 years. We're so excited to bring everyone together to celebrate our marriage and the continuation of our lives together.
