Our Story

Jared and Sarah's first picture together. It was taken at Mount Washington Overlook in Pittsburgh on their first date weekend the last week of 2018

Jared is a Cranberry native with a taste for travel. He has followed his appetite for great beer and experiences to explore new breweries and many of the country's national parks and natural wonders.

Sarah has roots in southeast Michigan, calling Ann Arbor home among the farmer's markets, bike lanes and a rich local community.

Jared and Sarah met at Homes Brewery in Ann Arbor. "I sat next to him at the bar and we have talked everyday since." "I was about ten minutes from driving to back to PA and she sat down next to me."

Jared's and Sarah's first date weekend in Pittsburgh. They skated around the Christmas tree downtown, wandered through the Christmas Village and Phipps Conservatory Winter Show.

Jared and Sarah dated long distance for a year, maintaining a steady pace together from 272 miles away.

Our first trip together was in June, 2019 to Colorado! Winding roads, stunning mountain view, amazing music and an bit of cinematic tourism at the Stanley Hotel.

Jared and Sarah's fist concert together was Brit Floyd at Red Rock's Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.

Double rainbow at the Garden of the Gods. There is a funny story about how they wandered far enough off the trail to get this view of the rainbow!

We visited Royal Gorge in Cañon City, CO to ride The Cloudscraper: America's highest zip line 1,200 ft above the Arkansas River.

At the top of Pike's Peak it was more than love that took their breaths away. The altitude is more than 14,000 feet above sea level. Ps. Don't listen to a thing they say about the donuts up there.

Sarah and Jared love to support their home teams together. This was taken at the Big House, homecoming weekend 2019.

December 2019 Sarah packed her bags and moved to Cranberry Township, PA. After a year of dating long distance they were finally living in the same town.

March 2020 Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas went into lock down. True love or Stockholm Syndrome. We may never know.

Thank you to the Poydence family who made Sarah feel at home during a time of isolation. Pictured is Polish Easter soup, ham and homemade bread, a Poydence family tradition.

It started with Sarah taking home the classroom pet, Marshmallow the Betta fish. They were hooked! Sarah and Jared keep two fish aquariums and have a pet Gargoyle gecko, Magellan aka Gargy.

During the pandemic Sarah and Jared started to explore the trails and waterfalls of Eastern PA and the surrounding areas. Cuyahoga Valley National Park February 2021.

As the world opened up Jared and Sarah headed West for a taste of adventure at Modern times brewery, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Park.

The 7 mile Mist Trail at Yosemite was one we prepared for and looked forward to for months, as it was our first hike longer than a few miles. These were the stairs approaching the first waterfall.

This was the other waterfall on the trail.

We also hiked Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls on this trip. This is the view of those two from up on Glacier Point.

Valley View is one of the iconic viewpoints in Yosemite.

In October 2021, we visited Watkins Glen.

Rainbow Falls is what the park is most known for.

We also visited Taughannock Falls on this trip. At 215 ft, it is the tallest free-falling waterfall in the northeastern United States.

9/9/23. One year from our wedding day, we chose to get dinner at a favorite: Wayside in Lucinda, Pa. We stumbled upon it after visiting Kinzua Bridge in June 2021 and we go back for special occasions.
