Officiant
Lead Pastor of Erbil Baptist Church in Iraq and my father. He has been the most influential man in my life, shaping me in ways beyond measure. His exemplary leadership and unwavering love for my mother and our family are a testament to the profound impact of Christ’s presence in his life. Sarah and I couldn’t be happier to have him officiate our wedding.
Matron of Honor
Kelly is my loving, fierce, and passionate older sister & friend! “I met sarah when she was born on 10/12/99, during a snow storm no less. She is my sister and one of my biggest advocates. Sarah brings light into every room she walks into. She has the most random & best dance parties without any music even playing. We share a love for family & football. Our relationship is evidence that opposites really do attract. I am so blessed that Sarah asked me to be part of her day as we gain another member of the Rickard Family.”
Maid of Honor
Lauren is hard-working, sassy, and caring! “I first met sarah at a discipleship group at eleven22. The Lord completely organized us meeting that night, I knew instantly she would be a big part in my life as a friend and sister. We both feel so lucky to be walking with one another in this season and I personally can’t hardly wait to celebrate like never before when this girl marries the man God created for her!!!”
Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn is intentional, sweet, and fun to be around! “ I met sarah rickard in disciple group. she immediately made me feel welcome and immediately offered to add me into the group chat. it was a small gesture but it meant a lot and it really does describe what kind of friend she is. she’s intentional and encouraging. she has a heart for the Lord that is so evident to everyone around her. not to mention always so fun to be around. i’m super grateful for her wisdom in my life!”
Bridesmaid
Tiffany is fun, encouraging, and free-spirited! "Sarah and I crossed paths at Jacksonville University, where our connection as sisters in Alpha Delta Pi laid the foundation for a beautiful journey. Over the years, our friendship transformed into a bond and we also developed as sisters in Christ, weaving into our shared experiences. Now, with SO much joy, I am able to stand by her side as she embarks on a new chapter, marrying the love of her life and her best friend, Jared."
Bridesmaid
Paige is kind & supportive. My biggest hype woman! “Sarah and I both grew up in northeastern Vermont and attended Bellows Free Academy High School. Sadly, due to me being a grade ahead of her and playing different sports, she and I rarely crossed paths. However, in 2018 that all changed once I received a message asking how I was liking JU. Luckily enough for me, I was able to persuade her to not only attend college in the sunshine state with me (which wasn’t difficult), I also convinced her to join the same sorority as me. Sarah became one of my dearest friends and my sister. Since then, I can’t think of many times that we weren’t together, from sorority events, spring breaks, spending our summers home in Vermont together, becoming roommates, to now having the privilege to stand by her side as I watch her marry the man of her dreams. 🤍🤍🤍”
Bridesmaid
Lauren’s kindness radiates through her words, prayers & presence. “Sarah and I met back in the summer of 2022 as we both were about to start our masters degree at JU. We had a breakfast for our cohort and I believe the Lord specially designed for Sarah and I to sit next to each other! We started having casual conversation which lead to Sarah asking me about church, in which she invited me to Eleven22 with her. From then our friendship continued to grow with our mutual faith in Jesus and I’m so excited to stand by her on this exciting day🫶🏻”
Bridesmaid
Jamie is fun, sincere, and loving! “Sarah and I met through graduate school at JU! We became friends and quickly bonding over our shared love for the Lord, and dislike for certain classes! I am so blessed to be standing beside Sarah on her special day and am so excited she gets to marry her best friend!”
Best Man
Noah is my brother, former roommate, and best friend. But really, I had to pick him as my best man because I was his. Goofy, loving, and lighthearted; Noah always reminds me to enjoy the little things in life. As the older brother, his role has been to try everything before me so that I build the guts to follow his path and attempt to do it better! There’s no one else I’d rather have standing beside me on this special day.
Groomsman
Tristan and I met in High School when our school counselor told me that there’s a new student from France who is an incredible tennis player and also really needs friends. So I obliged and talked to him and we quickly became best friends, remaining close all these years later! Tristan flew all the way from France for this wedding, but he doesn’t know many people - so please be his friend!
Groomsman
Brandon was my first college friend and eventual roommate in the hood of Tallahassee. From 5am gym sessions, to painting our entire bodies for football games, we shared many adventures and grew closer because of it. Fun fact, he’s going to be starting his PHD in Mechanical Engineering at University of Florida soon. Brandon is going to do big things in life, giving God the glory!
Groomsman
Kevin was my Bible study leader in college but we became closer through disc golf, breweries, and many spontaneous trips. Having a Kevin Pham in your life is a true blessing. He’s incredibly intentional and kind, always making the extra effort to brighten your day! Kevin is also pursuing his doctorate at UF, in physical therapy at UF (joining the ranks of traitors!)
Groomsman
“God forbid I get arrested and they say I have an average build” - Caleb. This funny, Jax-native, Italian cowboy, joined my Bible study his freshman year and we grew closer (and stronger) ever since! Caleb has faithfully been with me through the ups and downs. He eventually lived with me in Winter Park post-graduation but has since moved back to Tallahassee to work at City Church, our college church - great story, ask him about it!
Groomsman
Robert Charles Ferguson. Enough said. This is a unique man, who deeply loves others but also threatens their lives. The picture doesn’t show when I beat him up after! My first time really connecting with Chaz was over cigars and talking theology. I remember Chaz bolding stating to a guy he only recently met, “one day we’ll be in each other’s weddings”. I felt like that was preemptive but sure enough, here we are! And in just 2 weeks Chaz is getting married and I have the honor of being in his wedding party as well! Crazy.
Groomsman
Nathan has been my roommate the last couple years in Winter Park and my experience would not be half of what it was without him. He welcomed me into his community and I felt like I knew him for 2 years after just 2 days. We both love playing sports and belting our lungs out in the car. This Gator alum is very intelligent/clever and uses this gift to bully me but in a way I still feel incredibly known and loved, nonetheless.
