Sarah’s Aunt Michelle caught the bouquet at James’s parents’ wedding! Well before she was Sarah’s aunt, Michelle became friends with couples, Julie and Craig and James’s parents, Melisa and Rick. She kept in touch with Julie and introduced Sarah to Julie’s daughters, Ashley and Amber, after Sarah moved to California. Ashley invited Sarah to a trip up to Julie and Craig’s cabin in Strawberry, California. The Piazzas were also invited to this cabin trip. There Sarah and James noticed each other, but neither made a move. Julie remembers remarking to Sarah that she wished her daughters would have snatched James up and Sarah agreed “they should have.” James remembers mentioning to his dad that Sarah was really cute on their way home from the cabin. Sarah reached out to James, because she was going to be in his area for a medical education course a couple of weeks later. They met up for their first date at a wine bar and bonded over their love of wine, dining out, and being with friends and family. They both instantly knew that this was a special relationship and four and a half years later they will be married!
