FAQs

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail, semi-formal and garden party attire are all perfectly acceptable! Think cocktail dresses and dressy jumpsuits for women and dark suits with ties for men. While not required, floral patterns are perfect (and appreciated) given our garden venue.

Question

Where Can I Park?

Answer

Parking is available at the park's entrance pavilion. Be sure to tell the attendant that you are a guest of the Shellabarger-Brown wedding when you reach the ranger station upon entering the park and they will help direct you. Once you park, you will see signs directing you toward the reflection pool, our ceremony location.

Question

What is the Weather Forecast?

Answer

While we are crossing our fingers for perfect weather, we recognize that springtime in Tallahassee can be a bit unpredictable. As such, we recommend bringing a light sweater, sunglasses and a small umbrella just in case. Additionally, if you're prone to springtime allergies, please note that Maclay Gardens will be in full bloom. We'll be sure to pass along the latest forecast as it gets closer to the big day to help you plan accordingly.

Question

Can I Bring a Plus-One?

Answer

As our wedding will be on the smaller and more intimate side, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing a plus-one unless directly noted on your invite. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I Bring My Children?

Answer

To ensure all of our guests are able to relax and fully enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day an adults-only affair. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What if I Have Additional Questions?

Answer
