FAQs

We ae so excited to have you come and celebrate the start of our new life together! Here are some things to plan for our celebration:
Question

What should I plan to wear?

Answer

We are requesting "Cocktail Attire", however, we also realize it is quite warm in Texas at the end of May. Men, you are welcome to leave your jackets at home. A button down and nice slacks would be appropriate.

Question

What about parking?

Answer

Valet parking will be available as parking is very limited at Eberly. Grabbing a rideshare or carpooling with others would be a perfect option!

Question

What should I expect for the evening?

Answer

We are envisioning a relaxed and fun gathering with our favorite people, more like a cocktail-style reception than a formal event. The focus will be on mingling, enjoying drinks and hors d'oeuvres, and spending time with family and friends. There is no set agenda for the evening. After you enjoy your dinner, you are welcome to head out whenever you feel ready. We want everything to feel easy, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Absolutely! Dinner will be served, with open seating available. Once Cocktail Hour is over, we will announce when it is time for dinner. To keep things relaxed and avoid a rush, feel free to grab a plate whenever it suits you.

Question

Why Eberly?

Answer

To celebrate Jake's birthday, Sarah discovered Eberly by exploring one of Jake's favorite architecture firms' designs. There are many unique and well-designed rooms at this restaurant, starting with the Historic Cedar Tavern bar of Greenwich Village New York built in 1866. You will find patio seating with fans and misters to keep things comfortable. Even the restrooms are a hit with photographers! Be sure you don't leave before seeing The Cannon Room, their hidden speakeasy! We hope you love Eberly as much as we do!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Because we are limited on space, we can only accommodate those formally invited on the invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be under your name when you RSVP.
