Jake and I met on Match.com of all places!! While meeting online is becoming more and more popular, never in a million years did either of us think we would meet the love our our lives online! If you are familiar with Earth, Wind and Fire's song September you'll never forget our first date just like we wont LOL.... IT WAS THE 21ST NIGHT OF SEPTEMBER!! Every time I hear that song now I just smile. For our first date we went to Chuy's Mexican Restaurant and went to the movie Downton Abbey. I knew as soon as Jake agreed to see a movie he knew nothing about he was a saint and I should keep him around! We continued going on fun dates and adventures.... Beufort, Ashville ( to see the Downton Abbey exhibit of course), Bryson City and so much more.

Jake and I had already discussed getting married and knew it was very close in our future we had already been looking and dreaming about where we wanted to get married. We had gone to the mall so I could be sized for the ring and so I knew one would be coming soon. Jake made sure I didnt know any details about the ring and made sure the associate knew not to disclose any details to me. Well.... She didn't listen on the way out of the store she blurted out when it would be here! I had on on going count down with Jake daily lol. We were 4 days from the ring arriving and earlier in the day when Jake and I spoke we had just planned on a cozy night in to relax after a long day. I had showered and put on my pajamas already when he came home and said lets go out! so we started figuring out where to go.. I was thinking our typical Ocharley's, Chili's, Carolina Fine Foods. He came out of the blue saying MELTING POT! I was not prepared to go anywhere fancy as I sat with soaking wet hair and PJ's. I tried to talk him out of it saying how expensive it was and it was super nice and it wasn't a quick restaurant. He insisted so I got up and got ready and off we went! When we got to the restaurant we were seated in the back corner away from the hustle and bustle of other tables. We went through our meal and I noticed Jake got really quiet and all of a sudden he said " Im freaking out". My first thought was the food made him sick or something major was wrong so I panic starting to as 100 questions. He then started saying " I always thought I knew what I would say when the time came"...... he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. THE RING HAD COME EARLY!! I had never been so surprised in my entire life. I was so busy crying that I forgot to say yes even though that was the obvious answer lol.
