The Stourbridge Line

812 Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431

For any railroad fans, here is a unique piece of history: The Stourbridge Lion carries particular importance in American railroad history as it was the first steam locomotive to be successfully operated during the summer of 1829, one year prior to the Baltimore & Ohio's "Tom Thumb", designed by Peter Cooper. While the Stourbridge Lion itself has been moved to the Smithsonian Institute, you can still take a scenic train ride on the vintage Stourbridge Line.
