We highly recommend you checking out this amazing national park! The north and west entrances are about an hour and a half away from where we live in Belgrade. We love doing this park as a day trip since we are so close! Please note: there is a $35 fee to get into the park. This allows you to enter the park anytime over the next 7 days after purchasing. You can purchase online and pick the day you want to go there!
This is one of Jacob's and Sarah's favorite places. If you want to camp, hike, swim, paddle board, kayak, or just hang out by the water this is the place for you to visit! It is only about 30-45 minutes away from Belgrade/Bozeman area and the drive there will take you through the start of the national forest land that is just breathtaking!
Sarah loves this trail! She has done it a couple of times with her friends here in Montana! You get a great view of the city of Bozeman, and it is considered a right of passage for locals and college students. It is not too long of a hike so it is perfect for just a couple hours of your morning! Make sure to sit at the top and take in the amazing views available!
This hike is right across the way from the "M" trail. It tends to be a little less busy and Sarah enjoys this hike with her friends on the weekends! There are great views and amazing wildflowers in the summer and early September!
Main Street in downtown Bozeman is a good place to go for local shops and food! You can find anything from touristy shops to local artisan honey shops... the options are amazing! Most bars and breakfast restaurants can be found on Main Street (The Western Cafe is a favorite or ours!!). Reach out to the couple to ask about specific shops and food places they enjoy on Main!
Glacier is an amazing place! It is 4.5 hours away so if you plan on wanting to visit here make sure you are able to make it a couple day trip. If you wanted to, there is an airport that you could fly into or out of right outside the park in Kalispell that would make adding this to your itinerary completely possible! Please note: as of 2025, Glacier is one of the parks doing timed entries, meaning you need to book a time to enter the park between 7am and 3pm. It costs $2 to get a time on top of the $35 fee to have your vehicle enter. The $2 is paid each day you want to enter the park and the $35 fee is a one-time fee for 7 day access to the park.
