FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Martinez and Jacob Canavacholo-Gonzales
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

‼️Please let us know by February 1‼️ if you’ll be able to be part of the festivities. If you have any questions, we’re here to answer them! We can’t wait to see you. 🥰

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love every generation of our families and expect our tiny loved ones to be in attendance. Still, we kindly ask that you step out with your child if they’re crying or being a huerquito. We appreciate you!

Question

What’s the alcohol situation?

Answer

We’re buying y’all some dranks as a thanks, but you’re also welcome it to purchase it at the reception venue (take cash) or bring your own from home. ‼️HOWEVER, there are some rules that we ask you to follow, please and thank you. 🙏🏼 So, no outside alcohol is allowed… BUT it can still be enjoyed. ‼️No outside food/beverages or cups are allowed indoors at the reception venue, but you are allowed to drink in the parking lot and/or your vehicle.‼️ Weird, we know! We kindly ask for you to dispose of all bottles, cans, and trash, and especially to follow these rules so we don't get fined. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼🤍

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. Please note it in your RSVP (we'll keep you updated) what your allergies are so we can alert the caterers. Be sure to tell your server at the reception about your allergy and any other accommodations so they can serve you accordingly. We hope you enjoy your dinner!

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We've secured a block at Hampton Inn & Suites San Antonio Brooks City Base, located roughly eight minutes away from our reception venue. This is a growing area with lots of restaurants and shopping stores. If you're traveling in from out of town, please know we're here for anything you need!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We're always excited about making improvements around our home and forever thankful to anyone contributing to us individually and as a couple. Please see the "Spread the Love" page to view our registries on Amazon and Walmart.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Since the wedding ceremony is taking place inside a gorgeous church, we kindly ask you to wear a respectable outfit. The bride and her mother also love fashion, so we'd love to see you dressed up feeling like your best self! We'll have a photobooth at the reception so your looks will be captured forever if you wish.

Question

You're already married?!

Answer

That's right! We had already made plans to be married with all of our friends and extended family in attendance, but got married through the court in an intimate ceremony in front of our parents, grandparents, and siblings on October 24, 2023.

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

University police officers will direct parking to designated areas at the ceremony inside Sacred Heart Conventual Chapel. Early birds will enjoy parking in the lot in front of the Convent and followed by Lot A. Overflow parking will be in Lot K. The Emporium by Yarlen has a dedicated parking lot with enough space for our guests. There is also a drop-off area right in front of the door for anyone with limited mobility or any ladies who misjudged the height of their tacones (heels).

Question

How can I help?

Answer

A lot of our loved ones have already asked, and we appreciate everyone who wants to make our special day come true. If you'd like to contribute, please see the "Spread the Love" page to see how. Thank you in advance! We are thankful for your love and support!

Question

How are y'all feeling about the big day?

Answer

We love being married already, but are beyond excited for March 8, 2025. We've been dreaming of our church wedding for a very long time, so we're more than ready to exchange vows and party it up with everyone who has made an impact on our lives individually and as a couple. As Jacob always says, "It's going to be a good time." We can't wait to see you there!
