Jake and I met on a hot summer night in Las Vegas. Yes...we were shocked too! We had each worked a long week at a huge travel conference called Virtuoso. With the conference coming to an end and 400 appointments under our belt, we were ready to relax and enjoy the final gala. I remember getting to the table a little early and feeling nervous about having to sit next to strangers for the next few hours during dinner. I was randomly separated from the rest of my team and place at a completely different table. I also distinctly remember the first time I made eye contact with Jake. He was the last person to arrive at our table. My first thought was that he looked like he was going to be fun to hang out with for the next couple of hours. I guess I was right because I have decided to hang out with him for the rest of my life! After lots of laughs and a few glasses of wine, the dinner was coming to an end. My mood had suddenly changed. Instead of wanting to go back to my hotel room and soak in a hot bubble bath, all I wanted was to spend more time with Jake. I am normally not super forward but when the dinner ended, I went straight to Jake and asked him what he was doing for the rest of the evening. I will never forget what he said;"Whatever you are doing". The rest is history!!
