Bayou St. John
We walked along Bayou Saint John on our first date from Pal's Lounge, so we decided to take a picture on the blue Cabrini Bridge to commemorate! Here is a great website to explore the area more. Highly recommend for an afternoon to feel like a local! It is our favorite neighborhood in the city.
Audubon Zoo
The zoo is a great place to explore with kids! It is also across from Audubon Park, and located next to Magazine St so it can be easily worked into a free afternoon.
Magazine Street
This popular street has tons of food, bars, shopping, and art. We recommend La Boulangerie for pastries and coffee, Elizabeth St cafe in Hotel Saint Vincent, Audobon Park at the end of the street for a nice walk, and Barrelproof for a nightcap.
