Atlanta
There is so much to do in Atlanta! If it's your first time in the city, the World of Coke, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Georgia Aquarium (one of the largest aquariums in the world!) are must-sees! We love Ponce City Market for its food hall, shops, & bars. From here, you can also access the Atlanta Beltline, a walking trail with tons of restaurants and art which takes you all the way to Piedmont Park. Even if there's no game, The Battery at Truist Park, known for being the home of the Atlanta Braves, has tons to do and outposts of all of our favorite restaurants! Stopping by Antico’s for pizza is a must!
The Avalon
We absolutely love spending time at Avalon in Alpharetta, and if you’re looking for a few of our favorite spots, here’s what we recommend! The hotel bar at The Hotel at Avalon is a cozy and stylish spot. For dinner, Rumi’s Kitchen is a must. If you’re in the mood for Tex-Mex, Superica never disappoints—their tacos and margaritas are some of the best around. For a more laid-back vibe, we like heading up to the rooftop at CRU Wine Bar to sip wine and enjoy the view. And of course, no visit to Avalon is complete without a stop at Jeni’s Ice Cream. These are a few of the places we truly love, and we hope you get a chance to enjoy them while you're here for the wedding!
Downtown Alpharetta
Alpharetta holds a special place in Hessam’s heart—it’s his hometown. If you're staying nearby or planning a visit, here are a few of our favorite spots. For a fun night out, we highly recommend Roaring Social, a 1920s-inspired speakeasy tucked inside The Hamilton Hotel. If you’re in the mood for rooftop views, UP on the Roof offers stunning panoramas of downtown Alpharetta and beyond. And if you’re feeling adventurous—and want a taste of 11th-grade Hessam’s glory days—take a short walk to Hibachi Express, his all-time favorite local spot. You can walk to downtown Alpharetta from Avalon via the Alpha Loop, a trail that winds through some beautiful homes. It’s the perfect way to take in the charm of the area and explore both spots at your own pace.
