It's time to say, "I Do"!

We met in my freshman year of college, right before COVID began to make its way around. For our first date, we enjoyed pizza from Pizza Junction in Huntington, IN and we watched Impractical Jokers: The movie, which was about as cheesy as the pizza. After our first few dates, I was sent home from Grace College due to the quarantine. For a while we spent lots of time on phone calls and facetime together, and made time to see each-other on the weekends. Gradey asked me to be his girlfriend with a sweet note and a candy bar (maybe a bribe) on 04/04/2020! - Sarah

Surprisingly, proposing was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life… only because I’m a terrible liar and nothing gets past Sarah! It started with me buying a ring, and the day I bought it I had to tell her about it because if I didn’t she would’ve known the second she saw my face. Fast forward about 6 months and I started planning. There were so many times and places I wanted to propose but I knew if it was too planned Sarah would pick up on it. Luckily, my uncle manages Solomon Farm in Ft Wayne and we made a simple plan. I told Sarah we were going to take a tour of the place but in reality it was the day for me to finally propose. When we got there I think she could tell how weird I was acting. My uncle took us to check out the old reception hall barn and as we went in he acted like he had to take a call and left us to check the place out. As we made our way into the barn Sarah spotted the flowers I left for her and then I made the best decision of my life and asked her to be mine forever! - Gradey
