Our Story
Our story began in Sept 2022 on Facebook Dating, where we met, of all places! Little did we know our talks about music would blossom into something far more profound - the realization of our souls’ counterparts in each other.
As musicians we really love to make music together. Music is what connected us from the start! Here we're playing the "Adagio" of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto.
What began as a Christmas celebration in 2024 became the beginning of our most incredible journey when Gary proposed!
In the glow of a Tanzanian gem, Gary offered not just a ring but his heart for all time.
This was the most fun we ever had at a football game. It was the 3rd Saturday in October, a crucial time for Knoxville. UT always plays Alabama then. Well, we won and got to witness the orange sea!
Besides music, we love sports, and football is one of our biggies. Here we were at one of the most important games of the year: UT vs. Alabama at the University of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium.
Basketball is another sport we dig! Here we are at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky, at the UK vs. UT game. We’re divided when UK plays UT since Sarah is fond of her “Ole’ Kentucky Home.”
Sharing the joy of Sarah’s graduation made the milestone more meaningful. As an Emeritus Professor of Music and orchestral musician, Gary inspired Sarah to deepen and refine her musicianship.
Sarah’s dedication and perseverance led her to earn two degrees, and upon graduation, she moved to Knoxville, TN, to be near Gary — a step that brought their hearts even closer.
Biking in the Smoky Mountains is another one of our favorite pastimes!

After one month of getting to know each other, we took the first step in our relationship to see each other exclusively. Here we are sitting by Sarah’s piano in Lou, KY.
