Flight

Florence Airport (FLR)

Flying to Florence from the US requires a layover, however it is the closest airport to the wedding. Approx 20min taxi ride to Florence City Centre, tram and bus also available.

Flight

Airport of Roma Fiumicino (FCO)

Rome is one of the best locations to fly direct from many US cities. We recommend using this as your entry point into Italy, explore the city for a few days, and then take the train to Florence.

Flight

Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP)

Milan is another great entry point into Italy, with multiple airlines offering nonstop flights from many US cities. Fly into Milan if you would like to explore Lake Como for a few days before taking the train to Florence.

Train

Italia Rail

Italia Rail is the preferred carrier when travelling throughout Italy, with many of the major cities connecting via high-speed trains that require no stops. We would recommend this as your mode of transportation across Italy.

Rental Car

Avis

320 Via dell'Aeroporto di Fiumicino
Fiumicino, Lazio 00050, Italy

We recommend that you rely on trains for travel throughout Italy. Driving in Italy is complicated, there are many small streets in cities, limited parking options, the drivers can be aggressive, and signage is not always displayed in English. If you are going to rent a car, we recommend getting one at the airport. Please be aware that you will need to inform your insurance company if you are planning to rent a car internationally.
