This love story starts with two people going to The Gull Lake Ice Fishing Contest. Sarah was hammering the Large Mouth Bass and Northern Pike when Errick rolled up in his maroon Chevy S10 with a grill in the bed the size of his truck. That evening would be filled with a lot of MEOWS and SNORS. It felt like an eternity before the two went on their first “official” date. Meeting at the Angry Minnow. Errick of course late saying “the only things I’m never late for is hunting and work”. We would soon learn this was a false statement. Sarah of course had to take Errick to the Moccasin. The night ended, Errick texted (like a gentleman) making sure Sarah made it home safe making sure no Mountain Lions got her. After that Errick introduce Sarah to crow hunting. Of course him being late. Errick continued to introduce Sarah to many exciting outdoor adventures sucker fishing and water fowl hunting just to name a few. Sarah knew right away what a catch Errick was. His humor, knowledge, and love hooked Sarah. The best part of all was introducing Sarah’s son Brantley to Errick. Those two clicked instantly and yes some might say they are around the same age some days. But in all seriousness watching Errick teach Brantley life lessons, fishing and hunting tips and tricks is the best thing ever. Makes up for them arguing like siblings. The adventures continued and all of a sudden (4 years later) Errick popped the question on a beautiful fishing trip to Lake Superior in front of the sea caves and yes of course with Brantley! Errick still thinks he helped Sarah catch her biggest fish but little does he know she thinks he’s her biggest catch and she caught him all by herself!
