Eric chatted me up, interested in my writing and books. He was interested in buying the first three books out in hardcopy and wanted me to autograph them. I learned that he was also an author, although he doesn’t call himself that. When you travel and have lectures on your physical, traditionally published book, you are an author! We chatted until May 3rd.
We met at a local Starbucks and had coffee, sat around and talked, and then took a walk through a local farmer’s market. We made it to Whetstone Park where we sat and talked for a several hours and agreed to see each other again. I received a call from him that same evening inviting me to church the next day. We spent Sunday together and every weekend after that. The rest is history!
Eric had already spoken to my parent’s weeks before asking for my hand in marriage and promising to take care of me. We knew way beforehand that we would eventually get married and had talked about it. He had a speech all ready and it made my mom and sister cry. And of course I said YES!
