When and where is the wedding?

Our wedding will take place on October 2, 2026 at Shell Island Resort at 4:00PM 📍 2700 N. Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480 The ceremony will be held on the beach, followed by an indoor reception in the ballroom at the resort.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM. Seating opens at 3:30 PM, and we kindly ask guests to arrive early so everyone is seated before we say “I do!”

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress Code: Beach Semi Casual Think light, breezy, and comfortable pieces that feel natural for a beach setting. Flowy dresses, maxi dresses, or jumpsuits with sandals or wedges are perfect choices. For men, think linen or cotton button down shirts paired with khakis or chinos work beautifully. Since we are having a small and intimate wedding with just our immediate family and closest friends, we love the idea of everyone blending into our color palette. With a smaller guest list, everyone will be in photos, and similar tones help create a soft, cohesive look that feels warm and connected. Of course, this is completely optional. Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in. Color guide: Navy Blue, Blue Indigo, Light Blue, Powder Blue, Sky Blue, Burnt Orange, Rust, Sage Green. October can be a little breezy, so you may want to bring a light layer in case it feels cool or warm. Please avoid wearing white dresses, black, or neon colors, t shirts, and shorts.

Is parking available?

Wedding guests are welcome to use the resort parking deck at no cost on the day of the wedding, whether or not you are staying at the hotel. If there is a parking attendant, please let them know you are part of the Wright Wedding. If no attendant is present, you may park in the deck without a pass. Complimentary parking is provided for all our guests to make arriving and celebrating with us easy and stress-free.

After we say “I do” by the ocean, the celebration continues indoors in the Oceanview Ballroom at Shell Island Resort. Join us for dinner, drinks, and plenty of dancing as we celebrate the night away together.

Yes! We’ll be serving a delicious dinner along with a hosted bar selection, so come hungry and ready to raise a glass with us.

Absolutely! The little ones are such a special part of our family, and we wouldn’t dream of celebrating without them. This will be a joyful, family friendly day with room for all the giggles and sweet moments. If your little one needs a booster seat or high chair during the reception, the hotel will happily provide one to keep them comfy.
