We first met at BJ's Brewery at Sarah's birthday dinner. Emilio had come with a friend of a friend, and only a few words were exchanged. We met again about a month later at the Red Rock Singles Ward, but both of us left thinking the other was out of our league! I guess we were wrong...

By fall of 2016, we were running in the same circle of friends. We went from acquaintances, to friends, to "hey, I think I have a shot at this...". Emilio asked Sarah out to go see "The Blue Man Group". It was an instant, fun, comfortable connection. We had never laughed so much on a first date, and knew this was something good.

After about a month of dating, we knew neither of us wanted to see anyone else. Emilio asked Sarah out for Valentine's Day, and planned an evening of dinner and sightseeing at the Bellagio Fountains. After watching the fountains, Emilio told Sarah he would love to call her his girlfriend when she was ready... She immediately said she was!

The perfect surprise! Emilio secretly planned the perfect proposal and ring. Sarah mentioned she wanted to go to the Bellagio Christmas display. Emilio casually agreed, knowing this was the spot he wanted to ask the big question. When we got to the Bellagio, we walked to the fountains and stood in the exact same spot we became official. The Fountains played the "Hallelujah Chorus" (could there seriously have been a better song?! Perfection). When the song was over, Emilio turned Sarah toward him and asked her to be his wife. She quickly answered, "Yes! Yes!". It was an absolute dream, and we've never been happier.
