Maid of Honor - Sarah
Renee and I have been friends since elementary school. Some of my fondest memories with Renee include spending spring break in Arizona together, supporting her at her numerous shows, rollerblading in our house, spending time in Florida, camping in her back yard. Most importantly, spending time at Amer Island on Rainy Lake together. Renee has the natural ability to make anyone feel welcomed. Spending time in such a special place fishing, hiking, building trails, blueberry picking, spending time with our parents, and enjoying nature is where Renee and I have had the opportunity to truly become family. What makes our relationship so special is Renee's loyalty, unwavering support, and love for her people. Love you Nay!
Bridesmaid - Sarah
Ali and I have known each other for 27 years. Ali and her brother Chad were my siblings growing up, they lived threw the backyard (besides those 10 months they moved to MI). We have spent countless holidays, vacations, summer nights, and rainy days together. Growing up as an only child Ali and Chad were the people who kept me in line, we fought like siblings, we played at all hours and we certainly picked on each other. To the only person who can call me "Princess", to eating a brat just so we could spend more time together, to putting up with my antics at the lake house, I am forever grateful to have such a kind, strong, and loyal friend!
Bridesmaid - Sarah
Stephanie 'Sumz' Sumcizk and I met in 2020 when I joined the Compass team! In a few quick years Sumz has become such a great friend. From her first hiking adventure, to learning how to water ski, spending endless time at fires with us and our dogs, and countless hours on the lacrosse field together! I quickly learned that Sumz is one of the most loyal individuals who will always put her people first! I am thankful for her unwavering support, hours spent helping me through hard times, and countless laughs. To my friend who loves ice cream, Cosy, and Sky almost as much as I do!
Bridesmaid - Sarah
I met Brady in 2016 at a lacrosse club in Boston, REV Lacrosse. Brady quickly became one of my closest friends. She is someone who would drop everything to help someone, drive at unbelievable hours just to spend time together, and always makes you feel appreciated. From the depths of running events together, to the highs of watching a sunset on the water, Brady brings such a calming and down-to-earth presence to any room she walks in. I am thankful for my buddy who I can call at all hours, about anything in life!
Goober
Cosy is our 12 year old girlie. She is the happiest when she's taking a nap with those she loves, playing ball, or hiking. The most loyal companion who always knows when we need a good laugh. We couldn't celebrate this next adventure without her!
Bubby
Sky is our 4-year-old adventure man! Always up for a boat ride, romp in the woods, bike ride or a cozy cuddle. Sky reminds us to find the beauty in nature and enjoy the outdoors. We couldn’t celebrate this next chapter without our little man.
Maid of Honor- Eliza
Let’s go 9! Let’s go cats’! A wonderful teammate and friend at Bates, Eliza and Syd spent countless hours together on the field, library, and beyond. The love of lacrosse brought Eliza and Syd together, streaming games and watching film in the background while doing work, shooting around until Eliza could predict where Syd was going to shoot, and sitting side by side on road trips to games. A mutual love of garlic knots at DaVinci’s, Den dates, scootering around campus, ping-pong battles, rihanna jam sessions, and so much more, solidified an everlasting bond between #34 and #9 on and off the field.
Bridesmaid - Eliza
Vicky, also known as “The Queen (Victoria)” has been a loyal friend and confidant since 2015. Most notably, Vicky agreed to be roommates with Eliza for all four years at Bates, and was always there for her. A squash master, rum connoisseur, story-teller, and amazing support system, Vicky does it all. Willing to put up with Eliza’s shenanigans, have many late night conversations (and some late night mac and cheese), and always connect via a facetime call to catch up about old times, Vicky is one of the best.
Bridesman- Eliza
A trusty twin, Jeff has been there since day one, well minus two minutes because Eliza is two minutes older! From fun adventures together with family and friends including driving his snow-mobile into Eliza’s at their grandparents house, a mis-adventure with a dart to the back of the head, many beach days and time on the ocean, and so much more. It could not be more fun to have Jeff around keeping everyone laughing and never taking life too seriously.
Bridesmaid- Eliza
While studying abroad in New Zealand in 2017, by way of some miracle, worlds collided and Kayla lived in the same flat for their time abroad. Thursday “brunch day” became a staple part of the routine in which Eliza and Kayla travelled around to different locations every thursday and told stories about their lives, dreams, and everything in between. Good food and good conversation became a staple of their friendship, and Eliza even grew fond of eggs benedict at the end of a few months. A road trip around the South Island with dear friends Bella and Ella, in a well-loved car called “Ruby” was a highlight of the semester, and Eliza will never listen to Taylor Swift’s album reputation without thinking about this amazing group of people. A true adventure buddy and someone to lean on, Kayla is always the life of the party.
Bridesmaid- Eliza
A master of joy, Katie always brings the fun! From singing and dancing her way across campus at Bates (and on stage with the Crosstones), epic goal celebrations on the lacrosse field, and everything in between, Katie has been a wonderful friend and teammate to Eliza. Katie, Syd, and Eliza starred in a mama-mia dance video featuring bananas as microphones, where Eliza definitely had the worst dance moves (you can judge if there has been any improvement on the dance floor). Thanks to Katie for being someone to rely on during both the most serious and unserious moments of friendship.
Officiant
Jude has watched our relationship grow from the roots up. Sarah has been coaching with her at Vassar for the past 9 years. Jude and her wife Denise quickly became family. They have been there for us through it all from the long FaceTime calls during our long-distance relationship to demoing at our new house during the remodel. Jude has never wavered in sharing her love, joy, and energy! A truly special human who has been an outstanding role model, friend, and mentor to both of us, we couldn't ask for a better person to be our officiant on this special day!
