When should I arrive?

Answer

Mass will start promptly at 2pm. Arrive 30 minutes beforehand to ensure you are able to park, walk over, and find a seat.

What should I know about Catholic Mass if I am not Catholic?

Ceremony Etiquette: • Arrive early: Aim to be in your seat 15–30 minutes before the ceremony starts. Doors may be closed right on the hour as the bridal procession begins. • Silence your devices: Place phones on silent or turn them off entirely. Do not eat, drink, or chew gum inside the sanctuary. • Photography restrictions: Be mindful of where the official photographers and videographers are. Remain in your seat and avoid using flash, as it can be disruptive in a sacred liturgy. Participating in the Mass: • Follow along: Simply follow the congregation’s lead by sitting, standing, and kneeling. If you are unfamiliar with when to do what, you can simply follow what the guests around you are doing or listen for instructions from the priest. • Communion: If you are not Catholic (or are a Catholic who has not received your First Communion or is not in a state of grace), you do not partake in the Eucharist. You can either remain in the pew or walk up with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing from the priest. • Sign of Peace: During the Mass, the priest will invite the congregation to offer a "Sign of Peace". This is typically a handshake or a nod to those sitting around you, accompanied by saying "Peace be with you".
