We're getting married!

New Year's Eve signals a fresh start and brings about a feeling of hope and new possibilities. That sentiment could not be truer for Duke and Sarah. Duke had moved to Virginia just a month prior and was building his life there. He had been messaging this redhead on a dating app for a couple weeks and asked her if she was free for dinner and drinks on Saturday, New Year's Eve. She said yes and they met at one of Sarah's favorite Richmond spots: Pizza, Beer, and Richmond (PBR). They decided to extend their date and explored all the festivities happening in Richmond, where they eventually shared their first kiss as the ball dropped. From that night on, Duke and Sarah knew they had something special. Since then, they have shared their love of trying new restaurants (Duke is still on the hunt for the perfect quesabirria in the south), traveling to new cities (Sarah first realized she loved Duke after a weekend together in Washington D.C.), and taking their little beagle, Cedar, on hikes (Sarah adopted Cedar before they met, and he fell in love with Duke faster than Sarah). After celebrating their first NYE on a first date, their second NYE as a couple, their third NYE engaged, they are excited to end 2025 with their closest friends and family, and ringing in 2026 as Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales.
