King Street is the heart of Old Town and is lined with boutiques, coffee shops, historic buildings, and great restaurants leading down to the waterfront. We would recommend starting at the south end of King Street (waterfront) and work your way up. For those staying in Old Town, Call Your Mother Deli is a great spot for breakfast bagels!

See iconic monuments like the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. The views at sunset are especially beautiful. If you walk along the National Mall, you can stop and see the White House. It is located directly north of the monument, across the Ellipse park.
There are several major Smithsonian museums located on Constitution Ave and Independence Ave, as well as throughout D.C. All are free! Constitution Ave: National Museum of American History, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of African American History and Culture. Independence Ave: National Air and Space Museum, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, National Museum of African Art, National Museum of the American Indian.
