Sarah and David met in Chicago in the fall of 2016. They should have known that they were destined to be together when on their first date they found out that they lived in the same building. They went on a few dates and then ran into each other at the Jewish United Fund event in Chicago that winter. The rest was history!

The proposal was an absolute dream come true. David was planning to propose a few months later than he did. However, after Sarah's grandfather fell ill, David moved the proposal up in a matter of days to ensure that they could tell Sarah's grandpa the news. They were in the middle of quarantining at Sarah's parents' house and decided to go to their cabin for the weekend. David asked Sarah to walk out to the dock where he got down on one knee! Sarah screamed in complete shock and happiness as she realized she was going to spend the rest of her life with David. David found a way to incorporate all of their friends and family in the thick of the pandemic through zoom, phone calls, and a car parade. They could not be happier and cannot wait to get married!
