FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly request semi-formal/cocktail attire for our summer garden party wedding celebration. Please dress to impress, but most importantly, be comfortable and ready to celebrate with us! Suits, sport coats, long and short dresses, and jumpsuits are all welcome.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we are only able to accommodate the children specifically invited to attend the celebration. If your children are invited, their names will be listed on the RSVP form. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! If your invitation includes a plus-one, their name will be listed on your RSVP form. Thank you for understanding.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We want everyone to enjoy the meal! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM on Sunday. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to get settled in. There is plenty of parking available at the JAI.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors on the front lawn of the JAI. Our cocktail hour and reception will be indoors. Please dress accordingly.

Question

What accommodations are available near the wedding venue?

Answer

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Joseph Ambler Inn (the location of all wedding events) for both the night before and the night of the wedding at a special rate for our wedding guests. Please call the JAI by May 13 to reserve your room and mention you are booking with the Bauer-Ostrow Wedding for our wedding room rate. For those traveling to the JAI the day of the wedding, please note that check-in at the JAI is 3 PM. Our wedding ceremony is at 3:30 PM (with guest arrival starting at 3 PM). Please request early check-in during reservation, which the JAI will do their best to accommodate. Please plan accordingly and come to the JAI wedding ready!

Question

Can I take part in any pre-wedding or post-wedding events?

Answer

We cannot wait to celebrate with you on our wedding day! Our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Saturday are reserved for the wedding party and immediate family. However, for those checking in to the JAI Saturday, we welcome you to join us at the Thomas Wilson House of the JAI after our rehearsal dinner for drinks and dessert, as we prepare for our wedding day. For those staying at the JAI Sunday night, we would love for you to join us for a casual breakfast the morning after the wedding. It’s a great chance to catch up and reminisce about the fun from the night before!

Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP using the form on our wedding website by May 13. If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact us directly.
