Travel Note
The Citadel's Parents Weekend is the same weekend so just a heads up- hotels and rental cars may book up a little earlier than normal. We are so excited that you guys are coming to celebrate with us, and we have reserved rooms at three different hotels at discounted rates for Friday night through Monday night. Feel free to choose whichever one fits best for you! There are plenty of other hotels downtown and in the area, and Air BNB is a great option to find something a bit more unique!

Hotel
Shem Creek is close to the venue and is a great place to rent kayaks, walk the docks, or eat at any of the many restaurants in the area. The room options are for a view of the marsh or of the creek. Hotel
We have a block of rooms reserved here for Friday 10/11 through Monday 10/14 at a discounted rate ($179 Friday and Saturday, $109 Sunday and Monday). They have free wifi, free parking, a complementary shuttle to downtown Charleston and Historic District, and a Harborview Rooftop Restaurant that has a great view of the city. This hotel is located right after the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. It's not the most walkable location, but for driving/ubering its super easy! An uber ride downtown is about 7 minutes or <10$, so we think it's a pretty convenient option if you are looking to save a few bucks! Travel Note
Downtown Charleston is very walk-able which is great because the public transportation in Charleston is lacking. Any activities you have planned downtown we would suggest walking or taking a short ($5) Uber ride to. Renting a car is also a great option, although you should be weary of parking downtown during the weekend or peak hours. There are several public parking garages around Charleston.
Flight
This is the closest airport to Charleston, and is about 20 minutes from downtown.
