We went here to see the Christmas lights on our first date. I think it's safe to say we recommend checking it out!
The best team and fans in baseball. It's humbly referred to as baseball heaven. Catch a Cardinals game, or check out Ballpark Village just across the street.
"There's the Arch!" We know you said it driving around. Don't worry, native St. Louisians do it too. Go see the arch or go up in it.
Voted one of the best Zoo's in America! Plus it's free admission and they have great cocktails!
Fun Fact: it's a great many acres bigger than Central Park in NYC.

Seafood. A lobster shack fell in love with a crab house and produced this rustic local favorite. Crab boils, lobster, mussels, clams—it’s a taste of the coast transplanted into a historic Midwestern space.
Best Patio in STL probably, good food - Irish pub with great chicken sandwiches and good beer.
Great Microbrewery with German bier hall setup, great atmosphere and good beer, also has good food. Located in “the Grove” which is a great little area and traditionally the “gay” area of STL
The only cidery in STL and use local midwestern apples. Excellent cider and is located in an old fire station.
Voted best fried chicken in MO, is a traditionally “southern style” restaurant that specializes in fried chicken and catfish. Excellent food all the way around. One of Danie’s favorite places. Also get the Mac n cheese.
Great Burger Joint. Not a chain and not your typical place. Get provel on the burger. Delicious and they always have daily specials.
There’s actually several locations now but they’re all excellent. Truly basically the best BBQ. If you later in the evening maybe call before to see if they still have whT you’re wanting on the menu. They sell out of brisket and ribs commonly. Yes it’s that good. Brisket and ribs are the best, also use the white BBQ sauce.
Superb microbrewery. They have a great area upstairs to sit and commonly will have sitting area outside. It’s in a weird industrial looking location. The beer is superb.
Excellent BBQ, they sellout everyday and they’ve won international awards, some of the best period.
If you want a deli it’s a traditional Italian NY style deli - at least as close as you’ll get.
The best store bought gooey butter cake - it’s a STL staple - and all of us locals love it. Fight us. You gotta try it.
A STL tradition and staple. Frozen Custard ( ice cream ) which is I guess an STL thing which is delicious. So many flavors.
A quirky- to say the least- bar, not for the faint of heart.. look it up... you’ll know what I mean.
Right by our house. Fresh in house made pretzels for over 100 years family owned. All of us locals love them and will mess you up for a pretzel stick.
It’s a food truck garden. Yep, that’s right. A huge open outdoor area with some seating and food trucks pull up in slots and it’s a hay day. Look it up online for availability as it’s not a 24/7 thing.
If you want something different... great Ethiopian food. Get the tibs.. special chicken tibs are Danie’s go-to.
Probably the BEST macrons or desserts period you’ll ever eat. Also amazing coffee/drinks. Literally everything is amazing. You must go here. Get there early. They sell out every. Single. Day.
A little bit out of STL City but worth it. It is the best Thai.
A little bit of a “hole in the wall” type of place but really great Thai and bang for your buck.
So good! Hand pulled noodles and many dishes are shareable sizes as is traditional. Very good Chinese food. (I think it may offer some other dishes that are of other Asian ethnicities but I can’t be sure about that)
Great local coffee place.
Great local coffee and great patio area
Superb bakery
Great Hawaiian style poke bowls. One of Danie’s favs
The best donuts! Super light and fluffy like a Krispy Kreme but better with many flavor options. Small local business. Also a 2nd location in CWE
Superb Mexican. Very authentic. Any Mexican on Cherokee is going to be pretty authentic. One of Sarah’s favs. Reminds her of Mexico.
Great little microbrewery just a short walk from our house. It’s in an old fire station. Great sometimes unique flavors of beer.
If you want an intimate sports pub type of feel... this is your place. It’s actually a soccer bar but have cardinals and blues and local sports games on. They have a great little back patio.
Our favorite ice cream place. They make it in front of you.. you heard me. They make it with nitrogen so it flash freezes the cream and ingredients in the mixer. It’s delicious and they have “naughty” and “nice” flavors.
Another superb ice cream place that is local to STL. 3 locations and if you want a flavor variety or alcohol included flavors or not hit them up.
Fantastic coffee and local coffee company. Danie’s favorite is the Noir. Def worth trying.
