FAQs

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP on this website under the "RSVP" page. We kindly request that you RSVP as soon as possible.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The closest major airport to Maryhill Estate is in Copenhagen with direct flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., New York City, and Atlanta. It is a one hour drive or two hours by public transit to Maryhill Estate. Additional travel details can be found under the 'Travel' page of this website.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying on-site at Maryhill Estate for the best experience. Additional nearby venues include Hotel 1622, Lägenhet Lillisgården, and GEG Hotel. Ubers are available in the area to take you to and from Maryhill. Please note: Glumslov is a popular summer destination so please book early!

Question

Can I give a speech?

Answer

Hell yeah! We'd love for you to share a few words during our wedding weekend. Please reach out to our toastmasters Simran Jatar and Alex Hershey at sdtoastmasters2026@gmail.com and they will coordinate with you.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

August is typically a beautiful time of year in southern Sweden. It will likely be in the 70s during the day and 50-60s at night, with a chance of showers. For the Europeans and Canadians reading this, we're talking fahrenheit. ;)

Question

What should I pack/wear?

Answer

For Friday's (8/7) Welcome Drinks & Bites: Dressy casual attire (sundress, blouse, slacks, collared shirt) For Saturday's (8/8) Ceremony and Reception: Fancy cocktail attire (midi-to-full length gowns, suits (tie-optional), block heels or flats, dress shoes) For Sunday's (8/9) Breakfast: Casual dress (althleisure wear, jeans, whatever you're comfortable in!) If staying at Maryhill with us, be sure to pack a swimsuit and athletic clothes!

Question

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

We kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend as we unfortunately are not able to accommodate additional plus ones. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, our Dinner and Reception on Saturday will be an adults-only affair. Children of family members are welcome to attend Saturday's Ceremony, and all children are welcome to attend Friday's Welcome Drinks & Bites and Sunday's Breakfast.

Question

Is childcare available?

Answer

Please reach out to us directly at sdbrollop2026@gmail.com and we would be happy to help you arrange trusted childcare.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We greatly appreciate the effort and expense of attending our wedding and are lucky enough to have everything we need for our new life together, so please, no gifts. Simply bring yourself and your dancing shoes – we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I drive to the venue and is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! On-site parking is available at Maryhill for those who choose to drive. Please note that Sweden strongly enforces a low blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit of 0.02% for alcohol and driving. If you plan to drink during the weekend and are not staying on-site, please be sure to arrange alternative transportation to and from events.

Question

I have a dietary restriction, how should I let you know?

Answer

When you RSVP, please let us know of any dietary restrictions, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Question

Are there planned activities if I arrive early?

Answer

Yes! On Thursday (8/6), we plan on catching a late-morning ferry from Landskrona (~15min drive from Maryhill Estate) to the island of Ven, where we'll rent bikes (they have e-bikes and golf carts too!) and casually tour the island before returning to Maryhill for dinner. During the day on Friday (8/7), we plan to relax by the pool and explore the hiking trails on the Maryhill property. We welcome any guests arriving early to join us!

Question

Will I be able to get by speaking English?

Answer

Ja! But if you'd like to learn a few words ahead of your journey, we'd recommend... The following three basics: Hej = Hello/Hi Tack = Thank you Sarah, du ser helt underbar ut, Daniel är en lyckligt lottad man. = Sarah, you look absolutely beautiful. Daniel is a lucky man. The following three phrases: Jaha = Ah, I see OR yes (surprisingly) Eller hur = Right Precis = Exactly And last and most importantly: Skål = Cheers
