Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Chutney Indian Restaurant

9400 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia, MD 21045
, (410) 381-3600

One of our favorite restaurants.

Old Ellicott City

A wonderful area to walk around, shop, and grab a bite to eat!

Cazbar - Columbia

9400 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia, MD 21045
, (410) 528-1222

We came here for Valentine's Day a few years ago and had the best time! A great choice for a splurge dinner.

Jonas and Anne Catharine Green Park

2001 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Annapolis, MD 21409

We used to spend time in this park when we lived in Annapolis. A beautiful spot on the water right across from Downtown Annapolis.

Cottage Cafe

1348 Stevens Avenue, Arbutus, MD 21227

A small, fun ice cream shop we visit in the summer.

Patapsco Valley State Park

8020 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043

A great place for hiking and exploring. Near Ellicott City.

Fort McHenry

Baltimore, MD 21230

The birthplace of "The Star Spangled Banner" and a great area for a walk or picnic.

National Mall

Washington, DC

The National Mall, nearby Smithsonian museums, and monuments are about an hour from Columbia. If you're interested in a DC day, we suggest driving to the New Carrollton Metro station and taking the Orange Line to the Smithsonian station.

Shenandoah National Park

VA

Shenandoah is about a 3-hour drive from Columbia, but very worth a visit for hiking, wildlife watching (black bears are often visible), and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This can be a long day trip.
