We are getting married!

Sometimes the best love stories are the ones that have been years in the making. Cota and Sarah both graduated from Narrows High School and had known each other for years, but life had different plans for their timing. What started as a familiar friendship eventually grew into something much more, and in October 2025, they officially began their journey together. From the very beginning, they found joy in the simple things—spending time together, making each other laugh, and creating memories wherever they went. Some of their favorite adventures have included cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies, attending a Carolina Panthers game, and enjoying countless moments together with family and friends. One of Sarah’s favorite things is watching Cota coach. Seeing the passion, dedication, and heart he pours into coaching reminds her every day of the kind of man he is. Their love story reached a beautiful milestone at the gazebo at Claytor Lake. What Sarah thought was just another special day together turned into the surprise of a lifetime when Cota got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Claytor Lake has always held a special place in Cota’s heart, as it is where he grew up making cherished memories with his family, making it the perfect place to begin their next chapter. As they look ahead to marriage, they are grateful for every moment that brought them together and excited for all the memories still to come. Most of all, they are thankful for the love and support of their family and friends and cannot wait to celebrate this special day with all of you. The best part of our story is that it’s only just beginning
