We're Getting Married!

December 31st, 2019, Sarah hosted her annual New Year's Eve party to ring in 2020. There was champagne, confetti, good food, festive attire, and so many friends crammed into a tiny 5th floor walk-up NYC apartment. Corbin was invited as a friend of a friend. Although they had briefly met once before, this was the first night Sarah and Corbin truly hit it off. "This was the first night that I truly saw her. her confidence was apparent, her energy was electric, and her smile was so captivating you couldn't help but smile back. She wore a stunning green dress, and was the center of attention, not because she needed to be, but because everyone around her loves her." Sarah remembers catching quick glances of Corbin across the room and thought he was maybe glancing back? " I remember that he always found his way somewhat by my side. He would join in conversation, and offer to help me in the kitchen or pass out drinks and party favors. I definitely thought he was a cutie and could tell he was trying his best to flirt." Corbin remembers that "I wanted to be around her so much that before I knew it, the night was over. Midnight had come and gone and I had been too scared to try to kiss her. Who wants to come on to strong and drive someone away?" The next day, as she was cleaning up and recovering from the previous night's festivities, she received a message from Corbin asking if she would like to see a movie and grab a drink. The two started going on a few dates here and there, but then the world stopped. The pandemic hit and COVID had other plans. Corbin went home to Colorado, while Sarah stayed in New York City. Sarah remembers thinking "Well that was fun while it lasted." Although, they weren't anything official, they kept in touch nearly every day. They had Netflix virtual movie parties, long Face-time calls and exchanged hundreds of messages over the next few uncertain months. Eventually COVID subsided and Corbin returned to NYC for work. The two both had the same thought and mission in mind and that was to find out if the other wanted to "do this for real". Sarah and Corbin took a beautiful summer walk along Riverside Park and made it official. The rest is history.
