Yes! All guests will need a valid passport to travel to Mexico. Make sure it doesn’t expire within 6 months of our wedding date to avoid any issues.
While certain regions in Mexico have travel advisories due to crime, popular tourist destinations like Cancun are generally considered safe. It's advisable to stay informed by checking the latest travel advisories from the U.S. Department of State before your trip.
Many U.S. carriers offer international plans that include Mexico. Check with your provider about coverage and rates to avoid unexpected charges.
You’ll reserve your room through our dedicated room block link (located on the Travel page). It requires a $150 deposit per room at the time of booking. The second payment will be due on September 4th and the remaining balance will be due on November 5th. We recommend booking as early as possible to lock in the best rates.
Great question! The booking system can be a little confusing—it may appear like you’re being charged the full amount, but you’re only paying the $150 deposit upfront. The second payment is due September 4th and the full amount will be due on November 5, 2025. If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out to the booking agent directly.
If you want a guaranteed room at the resort and access to our special rate, yes—you must book through our room block. We won’t be able to help with changes, upgrades, or issues for any reservations made outside of it. Dreams Jade is an all-inclusive resort, and they require guests attending the wedding to be staying on-site. Day passes may be available in some cases, but they are limited, not guaranteed, and often more expensive than simply staying in the room block.
Our wedding is on Saturday, January 31st, but we recommend arriving 1–2 days early to unwind, enjoy the resort, and join us for the welcome events. The room block requires a 3-night minimum, and you can choose any 3 consecutive nights within the block.
Dreams Jade includes all food, drinks (including alcohol), pools, beach access, entertainment, and more. It’s a great way to turn the wedding into a mini vacation!
Yes—Dreams Jade is a family-friendly resort with kid-friendly pools, activities, and childcare options available. However, we kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend the wedding events.
If your invitation includes a plus-one, you are welcome to bring a guest. If you’re not sure, please reach out and we’ll be happy to clarify.
January is one of the best months to visit! Expect warm days in the mid-70s to low 80s°F and cooler evenings. Rain is rare but a light layer for breezy nights is always a good idea.
The resort is casual during the day (swimwear, sandals, etc.), but some restaurants require resort-casual or smart-casual attire in the evenings. We’ll post any wedding event-specific dress codes below as well.
