Our Story The Spark It all started in June 2024 with a Hinge match and a very ambitious "first" hike. Colin had just moved to Sacramento, and despite the scorching heat and having to carry our friend's dog, Lucy, most of the way back, he powered through without a single complaint. In that moment, Sarah knew he was the one. The Adventure We fell fast, bonding over craft beer, the outdoors, and a lot of patience as Colin taught Sarah how to golf. After moving in together in early 2025, life threw us a major curveball in 2026. A medical emergency in Illinois left us both realizing we never wanted to be anywhere else but by each other’s side. The "Yes" The proposal happened on Valentine’s Day 2026. Despite a frantic vet visit for our boy, Ace, earlier that day, Colin kept his plan. After a quiet dinner at home, he pulled out a little red box, Sarah said "Of course!", and we spent the rest of the night celebratory-calling our parents. The Post-Script True to form, our cat Ace decided he wanted to match his dad’s surgery streak and had his own emergency operation just three days after we got engaged. Our family is finally healthy, (a little) poorer, and so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you!
