FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones dearly! However, due to venue capacity and our desire for an intimate ceremony, we are only able to accommodate the children and teens specifically named on your invitation. We hope you understand and can use this as an opportunity to enjoy a night of celebration! If your child was not included on the invitation, please feel free to contact the couple to confirm.

Question

What is parking like at the venue?

Answer

Due to limited street parking near the venue, we highly recommend ride share (Uber, Lyft, etc.). If you have a rental car, you can find street parking around the venue. After 5pm, the DMV lot across the street will be available for free (however keep in mind that the ceremony starts around that time).

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail / Semi-formal is great! It's California—as long as you're comfortable, we're happy. Ties are optional. Our wedding colors are forest green, sage green, and dusty blue (if you're trying to avoid matching us).

Question

What is the weather like in April?

Answer

Dress warmer than you think! Daily highs in April are around 70º F, but nights cool off significantly (sometimes down to 50º F). Our venue is both indoor/outdoor, so bringing a light jacket is recommended.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in an outdoor courtyard attached to the reception area. Immediately after the wedding, you will walk 10 steps to an indoor area for the rest of the evening!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Check your invitation! We have a strict guest list to stay on budget, so we will only be able to accommodate those listed on the wedding invitations!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The earlier, the better. RSVP by March 7th, and definitely consider booking flights/hotels as early as possible.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue is single-story and very wheelchair-friendly.

Question

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Please RSVP with this information!

Question

Should you bring a gift to our destination wedding?

Answer

NO! Travel is expensive—especially to San Diego. Your presence is a gift in itself. If you feel obligated to do something, consider a simple card or, if you're really adamant, check our honeymoon fund page. PLEASE NO PHYSICAL GIFTS. Our apartment is small.

Question

Where should you stay?

Answer

Unfortunately, San Diego hotels do not offer courtesy blocks. Check out our TRAVEL page for hotel recommendations near the venue. If traveling with more than 4-5, you might find better deals through Airbnb or VRBO.
