Lanikai Beach
Our favorite beach! Go to a nearby Foodland in Kailua to grab snacks and towels and head here for beautiful water and views. Not the easiest place to park but you can get lucky sometimes at the nearby Kailua Beach Park and then do a small hike to beach access.
Pu'u Ma'eli'eli Trail
Very fun hike with beautiful views at the top! It's rated as moderate on AllTrails and is about 2.3 miles out and back. Watch out if it rains, might be slippery in some spots. You can park in the nearby neighborhood and walk along the highway to get to the entrance. It says no trespassing but it's fine :)
Lanikai Pillbox Hike
Okay we know it's rated as hard on AllTrails BUT it's also really beautiful with great views. Not much shade and can be pretty steep at the top with some scrambling but very worth it! Just get a massage the next day to help with the soreness :)
Lanikai Brewing Company - Tap & Barrel
Great beer options for after you nail that pillbox hike!! Also have options for pizza from a nearby food truck.

Arguably the best shave ice ever.

Yummy coconut shrimp, good drinks and beach views! Right near Queen's Beach and Honolulu Zoo!
Merriman's Honolulu
Delicious food and the best Mai Tai you've ever had. Make reservations, this place fills up fast!

Turtle Beach
Another beautiful beach! Don't be afraid of Turtle Bay resort, you can park and walk on through to enjoy the beach!
Giovanni's Shrimp Truck
Full disclosure we haven't eaten the shrimp here but there is usually another shrimp truck nearby that is DELICIOUS
