Chris and Sarah: Sarah was in Fort Worth for 1 year when she met Chris online in 09/2018. When she first messaged him, he was celebrating his dad's birthday and told her he was excited to chat, but he was busy at the time celebrating his dad. She immediately thought, "that's adorable."  He reached out the next morning. They talked for hours! He eventually invited her out for a first date. Sarah and Chris's First Date, (as told by Sarah): When Chris came to pick me up for our very first date, my newest best friend, Jennifer, made sure I wasn't going on a date with anyone who wasn't amazing. She asked him all the questions a parent would ask and what time he would have me home. Chris, patient as he is & always true to his word, happily answered all her questions & not only brought me home on time, but gave me my ideal first date. He appreciated how much this person cared about me, which made me feel respected & loved already. During that first date, I felt such a connection to Chris. We had established a bond from our previous conversations about stand up comedy, football & food, so I felt comfortable having our 1st date at his apartment where we watched tv, cracked jokes & talked about life. I knew I had found someone truly special. We realized we have the same sense of humor and similar life goals and dreams. Chris knew I love to two step. So, he watched several YouTube videos just to spin me around & make me smile (even though he's not the biggest fan of dancing). We had so much fun bonding until he told me it was time to take me home. I was back at his place 2 days later eating homemade spaghetti & we've been inseparable ever since. A few weeks later we made things official on October 12th, which just happens to be his sister's wedding anniversary. I thought that was sweet & we've always told each other happy anniversaries every year since. Who Chris & Sarah Are Now: Chris and Sarah have been through so much together. They are two people who can tell each other everything no matter how difficult. Through all of life's ups and downs, the good and the bad, they go to each other for advice, comfort and strength. Chris has shown Sarah how amazing cats are (they had Kitty for 4 years whom they loved very much and now they have 2 year old Zuzu whom they love just as much). They've gone to multiple weddings all across the country and have developed the travel bug. Through his hard working years at Oncor, Chris has been able to buy them a home. He's helped support Sarah in her Yoga career, which is in the beginning stages with so many plans and goals ahead. When they're at home, Sarah loves the sound of Chris's laugh, whether they're in the same room, or not. Chris loves making them meals so good, even Zuzu has to have a sniff. The Proposal: In 2023, Chris took Sarah to Asheville, North Carolina, to see mountains and waterfalls (some of their favorite things!), for their 5 year anniversary. A stunning bridge on Triple Falls in DuPont State Forest was the perfect, and surprising, backdrop for Chris to propose. 2 years later, they are ready to call each other husband and wife!
