One September morning in 2012, Mark Berg, the master electrician for the University of Michigan lighting department, decided to assign Sarah to work with Chazz on an electrics work call in the Mendelson Theater. He sent them as far away from the rest of the students as possible, banishing them to the jump to lower in cable. Alone in the dusty, abandoned corner of the theater, Chazz and Sarah got to talking, and though neither of them can remember anything that was said that day, obviously neither of them screwed it up too badly. One awkward, hungover conversation led to another, and that conversation led to a date, and that date led to a relationship, and now here they are, over seven years, four cities, and one rescue dog later, deciding that they annoy each other just enough to keep things interesting, so they’d like to make it official, and commit to annoying each other for the rest of their lives.
