We’re getting married!

Although we didn’t know it then, Chase and I have quite a few mutual friends through church/school. With the help of Facebook, Chase added me as a friend and we began talking super casually. What I didn’t realize was my Facebook profile picture happened to be me and my little brother, Joseph, at our other brother’s wedding earlier that month. According to Chase, Joseph and I looked like a very happy couple. During one our conversations, Chase casually mentioned my “boyfriend.” And I was mega confused and replied that I didn’t have one. He referenced my profile picture, and I explained that he was my little brother. After that, Chase asked me out on a date to McGuire’s. Then he took me for a walk on the beach and to a secret spot on the bay that had a gorgeous swing. Clearly, we had a great time or I wouldn’t be creating this wedding website.

Not far into our relationship, Chase and I knew where this was going. We talked a lot about the future and marriage. I knew it was coming, but I had no idea when! Because I couldn’t stop asking 6 million questions, Chase ended up telling me in February that he bought the ring, but then he also told me that it was custom made and wouldn’t arrive until maybe May/June. So, I was oblivious when the ring arrived late March. Chase and I took a trip to Gatlinburg, TN the first week of April for a friend’s wedding, and little did I know that he planned to propose while we were there. BUT he forgot the ring, so instead, on a beautiful Tuesday night, Chase picked me up and took me to see the sunset at the special place we went to on our first date. We sat on the swing and chatted, but then he got up to “get something out of the car.” When he came back, he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hand asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. How could I say anything but “YES”!!
