Our story was described by a dear friend as “a complicated tapestry” and boy did she hit the nail on the head. We’ve had over a thirteen year ride together and through ever peak, valley and plateau we’ve come out the other side stronger. We met in High School when Chaise was a senior and Sarah was a freshmen. We became quick friends in March of 2008 and realized how much we enjoyed each other’s company. Over the next seven years or so, we remained friends and saw each other occasionally but we both felt like there was something more than friendship in our future. Eventually we made an attempt to test the relationship waters but the timing wasn’t quite right. We didn’t see or speak to each other until several years later. Chaise was on tour in Milwaukee, WI and he had an epiphany outside of the Pabst Theater: He didn’t like the way things ended with Sarah, and he wanted to reach out and apologize for his past actions. He knew he had probably missed his shot with Sarah but he also knew he cared for her enough to know despite this, she deserved an apology. He reached out and to his surprise, Sarah welcomed his company. Little did Chaise know, Sarah had always kept a little space open for him. Chaise was delighted to learn this because in truth, he had always held space for her too. That moment kickstarted our relationship and unbeknownst to us, solidified our future. Today we are over six years into our relationship and we couldn’t be more in love. We both feel as though we have a partner who challenges, respects and dearly loves the other. We’re delighted to share our wedding day with all of the people we truly love and care about the most. Thank you for being a part of our big day and know that we appreciate every single one of you. ~ The Future Mr and Mrs Crosslin
