Getting to SLO 1. Flying to SLO from the East Coast will require a connecting flight. The best airport to fly into would be San Luis Obispo airport. Flights are limited though so we recommend buying tickets soon. 2. From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) San Luis Obispo is approximately a 4 hour drive. For those who would rather not rent a car, Amtrak trains regularly run between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo, and Central Coast Shuttle offers round trip services between SLO airport and LAX at https://www.centralcoastshuttle.com/ 3. From San Francisco International Airport (SFO) San Luis Obispo is an approximately 4 hour drive. Rental cars are the best option from San Francisco, though there are Amtrak options. While we have not reserved a hotel block, the following options are located in and around downtown SLO, with approximate walk times listed for reference. Airbnbs can also be found throughout the city, but we recommend staying within San Luis Obispo proper unless you will be renting a car. Shuttle will pick up at 4:45pm at the Sands Inn and Suites (1930 Monterey Street), continue to Mission San Luis Obispo (751 Palm Street) for pickup at 5:15pm, and arrive at Claiborne and Churchill (2649 Carpenter Canyon Road) at 5:30pm. The Shuttle will depart at 9:45pm and drop off first at the Sands Inn and Suites, then head to McCarthy's Pub (600 Marsh Street) for drinks at 10pm
