Similar to how many love stories begin these days, we met online. We attempted many first dates, but work and school schedules always seemed to get in the way. Many times, busy schedules signal the end of something that never began, but we never ran out of things to talk about, never got tired of the good morning and good night texts, the facetimes, or the sharing of little details about our days. Two months after we swiped right, we eventually met at a really really small Thai restaurant in Tacoma for our first date and well, the rest is history.

In February 2021, we took a trip over the Cascades to visit Leavenworth for a long weekend. It was a relaxing weekend full of good food, drinks, and quality time. We snowshoed up the Icicle River path and found a great little spot nestled between two cliffs overlooking the river. We made hot cocoa and enjoyed the sights of snow covered trees and the intense icicles hanging off of the cliff edges. Cameron got down on one knee and pulled out the ring, the answer was YES.
