We met in college at the University of North Georgia. Caleb was randomly assigned to my group for a class project. On the day our group planned to meet in the library to work on it, I was running a bit late because I stopped for coffee at a local café, Picnic. I quickly parked, ran inside, and we managed to finish everything in just an hour. As the three of us were walking out, our other group member headed out the front doors while Caleb and I exited through the back toward the parking lot. We were making casual small talk as we walked to our cars, and I remember thinking, "Is this guy ever going to walk away; I'm almost to my car. He's not walking me to my car, is he? The answer was no—he wasn’t walking me to my car. I just so happened to park right next to his car, even though I was the one who had arrived late. I took the leap to text him and flirt first, telling him he was weird for parking next to me (even though he was there first). And just 3 texts in, Caleb "casually" mentioned he was going to Chic-fil-a for dinner if I wanted to join him. He was not planning on eating CFA for dinner, but he would have if I had said yes. It took some time, and there was a little back and forth, but after a year, Caleb finally accepted that I wasn’t going anywhere. Whether he was ready to find his wife or not… he did. I love you, C.
