The reception is a quick 10-minute ride from the ceremony. We recommend using Uber, Lyft, or carpooling with friends and family.
70 Rowes Wharf is the best drop-off location for rideshare and carpool, right in front of the Boston Harbor Hotel. Walk underneath the large archway next to the hotel, and the boat is located at GATE A.
There is a parking lot at Gate of Heaven Church. Parking for the boat can be found in the Rowes Wharf Garage located at 30 Rowes Wharf. There are also options for street parking and other nearby parking garages.
We will be taking photos on the boat following the ceremony, but boarding for all guests will begin at 4:45 PM. If you arrive at the dock a little early, feel free to enjoy a drink at The Dark Bar or the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille, both located just next door inside the Boston Harbor Hotel. The boat will depart promptly at 5:00 PM, so please plan to arrive on time. The boat will return to the dock at 9:00.
Since our wedding is in late October, the Valiant will likely be fully enclosed, with only a small portion of the front of the boat remaining open. The boat is heated, so being cold inside shouldn’t be an issue, and it will still cruise around Boston Harbor rain or shine. For anyone who wants to step out to the front and enjoy the harbor views, we’ll also have little blankets to keep you extra warm and cozy. We do recommend bringing a light jacket though, especially if you plan to join us at the after party at Granary Tavern, which is a 5-minute walk from the dock.
