We’re getting married!

Sarah and Ben both went to the Rosholt School District when they were younger but their paths never really crossed. After they both graduated from high school, Sarah went to college at UWSP while Ben joined the Marines. In the fall of 2022, they locked eyes at a college party in Stevens Point, but they didn’t say a word to each other and life moved on (Sarah thought Ben wouldn’t remember her while Ben was intimated by how pretty Sarah was). Fast forward to May 2023, finished with their college and military journeys, they matched on a dating app called Tinder. Nervous and excited about meeting and having their first real conversation, they decided to meet at Belts’ Soft Serve in Stevens Point (because who doesn’t love ice cream?) and the date was going so well (except for Ben dripping ice cream on himself lol) that they decided to go on a walk around Mead Park. By the end of the date, they both knew that they wanted to see each other again (and again and again…). They officially started dating on June 8, 2023 (Ben can barely remember this anniversary date so we’ll see how well he remembers their wedding anniversary date lol). After many memories together, including popcorn movie nights, family get-togethers, pickleball matches, moving into an apartment together, and buying a house, Ben decided to propose in front of their new house in Wisconsin Rapids (and Sarah obviously had no suspicion that it was going to happen that day because she screamed “what are you doing??”). Now they have a puppy named Franklin and are living the dream in their first house together, excited to make many new memories as a married couple!
