Mount Nebo Rim Trail is a 3.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Dardanelle, Arkansas that features a waterfall. It is more rugged in places, but it has outstanding views all the way around the mountain – many of them views of Lake Dardanelle.
When Cedar Creek is flowing well, Cedar Falls is a 95-foot waterfall. After a visit to Cedar Falls, it is easy to see why Petit Jean was chosen to be Arkansas’s first state park. The trail to it is not long, only .9 miles each way (1.8 mile total hike). And the trail is not particularly difficult except for a steep climb back up to the trailhead.
Russellville features two 18-hole "champion caliber" disc golf courses. The first is located 0.8 miles north of Russellville on Pleasant View Rd, and the second at 1598 Lock & Dam Road, off of AR Hwy. 7.
Starting in early October and running through the middle of November, the mountain's sights along Hwy 7 explode with vibrant fall colors spanning the rainbow. The Ozark Mountains and the Buffalo River, the country's first national river with 95,000 acres of public land along its corridor, are a must to see in the autumn. Hidden nearby are natural springs, caves, waterfalls, natural bridges, and box-like canyons.
It's time to hit the vineyards Four wineries – Post Winery, Mount Bethel Winery, Dionysus Wine & Brew and Chateau Aux Arc - operate in Altus. Two others -- Wiederkehr Wine Cellars and Neumeier Winery -- are found in Wiederkehr Village. Each offers Arkansas wine tours and operates tasting rooms.
