Welcome!

Ashtun and I met in the fourth grade. Over ten years ago he started writing notes to me. I vaguely remember him slipping a note into my locker in the fourth grade that read, "Will you be my girlfriend? Check yes or no". Fast forward a few years, we went to the middle school winter formal together, then prom sophomore year. We stayed friends throughout the rest of high school and college. Fast forward again, last September I (yes I) reached out to him. One message led to another and we were dating again! The note writing was back!!! My mom always told me that whoever ends up with Ashtun is going to have a lot of fun. Obviously that is going to be ME! Here's to over a decade of stashed love notes, back scratches, and two-steppin'! -Sarah

Ashtun told me that his Papa was cooking dinner at the lake house. So I met him and his family there. When I got there everyone got quiet. Apparently Ashtun had JUST put the ring back up! I was clueless!! Somebody mentioned that we were going on a boat ride. So Ashtun, Trae, and I went to get on the boat and as I was about to jump on Ashtun yelled my name. I turned around and he was down on one knee!!! He asked me to marry him and I said yes!! His family was watching us from the house and they asked if I said yes. He gave a big thumbs up and yelled "she said yes!". They were cheering and hollering from the back patio! He totally caught me off guard, which I had always told him he wouldn't be able to do. I am so blessed that he asked me to be his wife at one of our favorite places! Wewoka lake will always have a special place in my heart. -Sarah
